Does it sound like he likes me from this conversation?

This much chit-chat, and it sounds to me like he wants to be more than friends. If a guy is spending a lot of time on social talk, he probably likes you. Whether or not this is enough to get him to risk overcoming a perceived age difference is hard to say though.
